Why Pilates?

Pilates is an exercise system that connects mind and body and creates a greater sense of body awareness and focus. Pilates is practiced by using a floor mat or a variety of studio equipment. It evolved from the principles of Joseph Pilates and can transform the way your body moves, looks, feels and performs. Pilates builds our core body strength without excess bulk and helps us move better!

With Pilates, we also learn how to improve our posture, flexibility, balance, overall strength, mobility, and stamina. Pilates can help anyone from a complete beginner through to professional athletes and performers.

Why Ballet Barre?

Ballet Barre is an all-body workout, focusing on lengthening, toning, and stretching your muscles whilst utilising elements of classical ballet, dance, pilates and yoga. My classes are 45 minutes long, dynamic and varied – adjusted to the client’s ability. They consist of gentle warm-up movements, followed by barre and pilates exercises, stretching and a mobility workout for the end of the class.
